Abdulasar sacred place

In Gunbatan dis­trict of Gha­ran­ligh village, 125 km south-east of Iravan city, 2 km out­side, next to the lake on the top of an open hill.

After the depor-tation of Azer-baijanis from the historical lands in 1988, the shrine was appropriated by Armenians and is shown as an Armenian shrine.

There was an ancient cemetery around the hearth. Although there is no grave, this shrine, surrounded by scattered river stones, gathered together, along with the people of the surrounding villages (Korpukend, Chidamli, Khosrov...) also came to slaughter roosters.

As well as spi-ritual and gnos-tic centers of Azerbaijan and the Muslim-Turkish world, Abdulasar sac-red place is an example of Azerbaijan's cultural heritage in historical lands.
