Information

The village of Subatan was one of the small settlements of Albania in the IV century BC. Among them, the historical monuments of cross stones dating from the III-V centuries, written in the Grabar alphabet, and talking about the life of Albanian Turks existed until the deportation of Azerbaijanis in 1987-1991. Remains of Albanian settlements - traces of ancient Albanian history are found in many places in this area. During the deportations that took place in 1987-1991, the village population was subjected to ethnic cleansing.
