Its thick walls are in good condition. As it is an Albanian church, part of the roof of the church was not repaired by the Armenians.
- Information
There is an ancient Albanian church in the hilly area near the roadside in the village of Goturbulag. The presence of a spring of sour water of therapeutic importance in the village, where Azerbaijanis and Turkic tribes have lived throughout history, has led to the influx of a large population here since ancient times. The church is round in shape, built of river stone and white lime, with thick walls and a few small windows. A part of the brown roof was blown away. Since it is an Albanian temple, the Armenians did not pay attention to the renovation of the historical church. Until the end of 1920, only two Armenian villages existed in the territory of Chambarak district, which was part of Azerbaijan, as Chambarak district of Gazakh uezd of Ganja Governorate.
The village of Goturbulag was inhabited by Turkish tribes throughout history. The Albanian church and the monuments of Turkmen origin in the village indicate that these places are the historical home of Azerbaijanis.
