- Information
Although the Zaghali Tower is similar to the Ordakli Castle in the north-west of Goycha Lake in terms of its architectural solution, it is much larger than it in terms of scale, and this fact indicates that the Zaghali Tower is a more important defense system. The toponym "Arkuniani" in a fully understandable language, which was revealed by academician B. Piotrovsky, means "Argun’s land", "Argun’s fortress". The ancient village has been protected and developed for many years due to the strong fortress.
It allows us to talk about the 3000-year history of its construction by the Oghuz Turks. The castle with an ancient past is distinguished from other towers by its inscriptions and mounds, in addition to its protection feature.
