- Current situation
Although the ceiling part of the high entrance of the caravanserai is partially destroyed, the ceiling of the rooms, the side, back, front walls and the wide arched wall consisting of two rows inside the caravanserai are partially intact, but the rear part has collapsed and turned into a ruin. A cross element was added to the small building in the front part. Both monuments were appropriated by Armenians and are presented
as "Armenian monuments".- Information
Chirpılı caravanserai, located in a green area near the village on the roadside, was built in the style of Eastern architecture, and consisted of large and numerous rooms. In the caravanserai built by Shah Abbas I, horseshoe-shaped arches were mainly used in the medieval architecture of the Muslim East, including Azerbaijan. It is approximately 12 meters wide, 30-35 meters long, the height of the entrance part is 5-6 meters, and the height of the section where the rooms are located is around 3-3.5 meters. Chirpili caravanserai was built with large river and rock stones. The caravanserai has a high entrance with 3 arches. There were rooms on the right and left sides of the long corridor that started after the wide entrance section. It is possible to say that the caravanserai, which is assumed to be one room in each arch, consists of approximately 12 rooms. In the "Iravan province summary book" it is indicated that there are 172 villages in the Shoreyel Sanjak (together with Pambak Province). According to the information given during the time of Nadir Shah, there were 109 villages in Shorayel mahal, which was part of the Iravan khanate. In 1804, after the occupation of the Shorayel sultanate by Russian troops, all the remaining villages, except for a few, were inhabited by Armenians brought from Turkey.213 The toponym was formed by adding the suffix "-lı" to the word "chirpi" which means "dry branch, scrap of bush". It is a phytotoponym. Structural adjustment is a toponym.
The Chirpili caravanserai, which represents the material and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan with its architecture, shows that Azerbaijanis
live in the village and surrounding areas, and that the area is the home of Azerbaijanis.
