Information

It is an ancient historic village. Azerbaijanis have always lived in the village. There were many ancient historical monuments or their remains in Gighi village. The most important of these monuments are the 10th-century Gighi Castle and the remains of the Gighi Mosque, which is a brilliant example of medieval Muslim architecture.
