Current situation

Although the Giz tower is in a semi-disintegrated state at the present time, it has relatively preserved its integrity. It was appropriated by Armenians and is presented as an "Armenian monument".

Information

The Giz tower monument was built on a small plain at the top of a steep cliff on three sides, a few kilometers east of the place called "Molla rock" in the east of Haggikhli village. This plain is surrounded on all sides by natural high cliffs, as well as pyramid-shaped walls. The entrance to the tower is from the south. At the entrance, there is a small guard place on the inside. In addition, it has several small windows on the cliff side. Apart from the scattered apartments, there are also two reservoirs inside the castle. Water was first poured into a small pool through earthen pipes, and then through another pipe into a large reservoir. All buildings and walls of the tower are made of blue basalt stone.

The historical and archaeological value of the Giz tower for Azerbaijanis in terms of art and cultural example is very great.
