- Information
The Gizildag sacred place is located in Gizildag, near Duzkand village of Amasiya district. There are 3 sacred places on a 4-hectare flat land in Gizildag. They called this place "Gızıldag sacred place". The people of Duzkand, Tapakand and other surrounding villages would always visit here, make vows, make sacrifices, put money in the place, and light candles.
Like the religious-mystical centers of the Azerbaijani people and the Muslim-Turkic world, the Gizildag sacred place is an example of the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan in historical lands.
