Information

The remains of the chests in the ancient cemetery are material evidence of the at least 1500-year history of the settlement of Pambek by the Oghuz Turks. The chest tombstones located in the territory of the ancient cemetery in Duzdag were 0.7–0.8 m wide, 2 m long, and 0.4–0.5 m high.
In the “Comprehensive Book of the Yerevan Province”, Gushchu is marked as the Gushi Valley on the 5-mile map of the Caucasus. In Armenian sources, as well as in official documents of the 20th century, the name of the village is Pambek. Another name for the village was Pambekli.
