Architec­ture

Many of the Turkish graves and graveside mo­numents, which are the ancient material and cultural he­ritage of the his­tory of Azer­baijan, belon­ging to the 12th-13th cen­turies and later historical pe­riods, were destro­yed by the Armenians. The remaining few monuments were assimi­la­ted by adding Ar­menian ele­ments

It is located 9 km from the district center. Although it is stated in Armenian sour­ces that the village was founded in 1873, the material and cultural monuments in the village of Jujavang, including Turkish graves and castle walls, are the historical monuments of the 12th-13th centuries in the village, what means the history of the village goes back to more ancient times (Soviet Encyclopedia of Armenia, vol. IX, Iravan, 1983, p. 551). In the cemetery, there are many Turkish graves and tombstones of the 12th-13th centuries and later, along with images of horses, rams, and knights on horses, also there are horse and ram statues on gra­ves. Horse, sun and sword images are mo­re common on gravestone ram mo­numents.
