The ruins of Koroghlu Towers still stand in the area where it is located. It was appropriated by Armenians and is presented as an "Armenian monument".
- Information
The tower, named after the national hero Koroghlu, is located on the confluence of two rivers above Khramchay in Jalaloghlu mahal. The width of the tower walls was about one meter. The castle, built of large river and rock stones, was in a favorable location due to its geographical location. When the tower was attacked by enemies, its three sides were surrounded by water, which did not allow it to be surrounded. The ruins of this tower still stand.
Koroghlu tower played the role of protecttion for Azerbaijanis, as well as against Armenian and other foreign attacks. The ancient castle has an important value as an example of historical heritage in Western Azerbaijan.
