Mahbub sacred place

In the village of Ellerkand, 26 km northwest of the Aghbaba district of Shureyel mahal, later the center of Amasiya district.

Mahbub sacred place was abandoned after the deportation of Azerbaijanis in 1987-1991.The last photo of the pir was taken by teacher Murvat Hajiyev.

A cemetery belonging to the history of 300-400 years was built in Ellarkand village, 4-5 km from Oksuz village... Mahbub sacred place was one of the holy places of faith of the entire Aghbaba mahal. It was one of the sacred places where people visited and made vows and sacrifices in order to fulfill their intentions and dreams.

Mahbubsacred place, like other places of worship in the territory of Western Azerbaijan, is considered as a valuable element of material cultural heritage as religious-mystical, sacral-historical monuments belonging to the people of Azerbaijan.
