Information

For the first time in the village, Molla Oruj Alioghlu from the Shaldili tribe opened a religious school, i.e. mollakhana, in 1897-1898. In the school, together with the village population, people from neighboring villages received religious education and studied the Holy Quran. The school lasted almost 20 years from the first day of its establishment, i.e. from 1897-1898 to 1917. During the 20 years of activity of the school, there were about 60 graduates. The religious school building was built by charitable residents of the village.

The foundation of Subatan village was laid in the middle of the 17th century (18501860) by a man named Karbalayi Shikhali, the head of the Mayilli tribe. He left the village of Chakhirli with 8 families of his relatives and chose the current village of Subatan as their place of residence.
