Current situation

Some of the rock inscriptions and images belonging to the Oghuz tribes were distorted, and some of them were destroyed and demolishhed by the Armenians in order to erase the Turkish and Azerbaijani identity in the region.

Information

In the area where Chamirli is located, there are rock inscriptions that were used as grassland deposits by Godekbulag state farm of Basarkechar district during the Soviet rule. Academician B. Piotrovsky, who studied ancient inscriptions in the thirties of XX century, stated with confidence that these inscriptions are older than the Kalagiran inscriptions, and wrote with regret that "...local residents have ruined these rocks for some reason in the last 10-15 years."

Inscriptions are material evidence of at least 2500-3000 years of settlement of these places by Oghuz Turks.
