 In ­1987-1991, the Azerbaijanis­­­­­ visited the Seyid Ali Temple, one ­of their sacred places of faith­, which was also visited by the Armenians­­.

Information

In 1873 the population­­ of the village increased to 905, and in 1897 it was 1,588. In 1905–1907, the village had ­­about 100 houses, about 300–350 inhabitants, and  in 1914­it had 1,988 inhabitants.­­­­ In ­­­­­­ 1918-1920 the deportation of the village­ had a population of 200-230 houses, about 800-1000­­individuals. In 1948-1953­ there were 125 houses and about 500 people­ in the Goy­Gol district­ of Azer­Bay­. The population of the village was 400-450 houses, 1600-2000 people­­. After the ­­deportation­ in 1987-1991­, the ­villagers were completely ­displaced from their native lands and became refugees­­­­­. ­­­­ And the people of the village, and the inhabitants of the city  ­­­­­ A lot of people in the area have been living in this area for a long time­. The village had a population of 650–700 people and a population of about 4,700­ people[i]. ­ 

According to ­some sources­, the ancient Turkic languages "Zod"­ means "­a place of homeland­ inhabited ­ in a ­harsh, rugged­­ mountainous place".
