- Information
The bridge was built next to the Gipchak temple. It was built in the style of Azerbaijani and eastern architecture. The single arched stone bridge is architectturally similar to the bridges in Azerbaijan. The lower round part of the bridge, built of river stone, is woven in an oval-circular pattern with sawn stones. The bridge is 3.5-4 meters high, 13-16 meters long, and 3.5-4 meters wide. It is located 5 km from the district center. It is mentioned in the "Iravan province review book", on the 5 verst map of the Caucasus.
The toponym was created on the basis of the ethnonym "Gipchak" from the ancient Turkic tribes. It is an ethnotoponym. It is a simple toponym in structure. Gipchak Turks lived in the area.
