Information

The tomb in the village of Allahverdibayli was located 200-300 meters east of the village in the area of the ancient cemetery. The tomb of the V-VI centuries shows that Azerbaijanis have been living here since ancient times. The tomb was also damaged during the Russian-Iranian and Russian-Turkish wars that took place in 1826-1829. The village of Allahverdibayli is characterized as one of the administrative units included in the Kavar region of the Chukhursad Baylarbayli of the Safavid state. In Armenian sources, the name of the village is found for the first time in the list compiled by I. Chopin of 67 out of 108 Turkish villages destroyed by Armenian-Russian military units in Goycha district during the Russia-Iran and Russia-Turkey wars that took place in 1826-1829. In another list drawn up by the same historian, the name of this ancient village is not included in the list of settlements considered suitable for living at that time in the Goycha district, which was given to the administration of the newly created Armenian province, and in the official reports of the subsequent periods.

The tomb belonging to the 5th-6th centuries in the village of Allahverdibayli proves that the history of the settlement of Azerbaijanis in the area is more than 1500 years.
