- Information
There are evidences proving the history of Albanian Turks who lived in the territory of Goshabulag village in III-V centuries. The size of the stones in the old cemetery, located 15-20 m from the village store, was astonishing. There are inscriptions written in Grabar alphabet on those stones. From here, it becomes clear once again that this cemetery was the cemetery of Albanian Turks. Since the headstones are very large and heavy, more than 60-70 cm of them are covered with soil layers.
Grave monuments are material evidences that testify to the history of Goshabulag for at least 2000 years. In the documents of 1555, the name of the village is indicated as Goshabudar, and it is stated that it was included in the administrative division of the Karabakh (Ganja) baylarbay of the Safavid Azerbaijan state. In 1578, the village of Goshabudar was included in the administrative units of Zar district of Ordubad uezd of Iravan province.
