The monuments in the Digh village cemetery were destroyed by the Armenians after the deportation of Azerbaijanis. This tombstone currently remains forgotten and destroyed in its current location.
- Information
The tombstone is located in an ancient cemetery on a hilly area on the outskirts of the village of Digh. A rectangular monument with images is placed on the chest stone in the grave belonging to Azerbaijanis. The monument is made of white rock by hewing. The length of the chest stone is 1–1.20 meters, the width is about 0.5–0.6 m, and the length of the tombstone is 1 meter, and the height is about 0.6 m. The village of Digh is located 8 km east of the city of Gorus and 12 km southwest of the city of Lachin. Azerbaijanis were expelled from the village in 1926–1929. Armenians now live there.
The toponym is derived from the Persian word dex (> tex), which means "village, winter camp." It is a simple toponym based on the relief.
