- Information
The cave called Sulu zagha is located in the east of Dashkand village of Basarkechar region. It was in the upper part of the place called "Mashadi Gasim Valley". It is filled with water. Because it was full of water, no one entered the cave and studied it. There were 8 large and 8-9 small zagha (under-rock caves) in the heart of the rocks in the village of Dashkand. 4 of these zaghas were more famous. One was "Sulu zagha", and the others: "Sultan's zagha", "Mohammed's zagha" and "Binnet's zagha". The first one was also called "Mashadi Gasim's zagha".
The meaning of the word "Dashkand" is "a place of steep rocks and raft stones". The village of Dashkand was established at the end of the XIV century (1387-1388). According to Haji Mammad, a resident of Dashkand village who lived for 130 years, the village was built by a wealthy man named Haji Huseyn from Ganja region and his relatives.
