It was built in the lowlands of Vedibasar ma­hal, in the val­ley of Aghri­dagh, 5 km southwest of of Boyuk Vedi town, the cen­ter of Vedi dist­rict, on the hills above the village of Yen­gija, which is located on the Boyuk River, a tributary of the Vedi River

Current situation

The ruins of the burnt mosque remained in the village on the side of the street along Bo­yuk river.

Information:

There were two mosques in Yengija vil­lage. One of them, in 1919, Yengija vil­lage was strongly attacked by Armenian, and as a result of this attack, the mosque building was burned by the Dashnaks. Until the deportation of 1988, the ruins of the ancient mosque remained in the village on the side of the street along the Boyuk river. It was called Oghuz ce­metery.
